South Africans will be able to view a partial solar eclipse on 1 September, which will be visible from Southern and central Africa.<\/p>\n

South Africa and other African countries are best situated to view the phenomena, according to Space.com<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

But what if you don’t have those snazzy eclipse glasses on hand?<\/p>\n

You can quickly make a Pinhole projector using only two pieces of paper (steps courtesy of TimeandDate.com<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

  1. To make a quick version of the pinhole projector, take a sheet of paper and make a very small hole in the middle of it using a pin or a thumbtack. Make sure that the hole is round and smooth.<\/li>\n
  2. With your back towards the Sun, hold 1 piece of paper above your shoulder allowing the Sun to shine on the paper.<\/li>\n
  3. The second sheet of paper will act as a screen. Hold it at a distance, and you will see an inverted image of the Sun projected on the paper screen through the pinhole.<\/li>\n
  4. To make the image of the Sun larger, hold the screen paper further away from the paper with the pinhole.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
