AMD has revealed its seventh generation A-series processors.<\/p>\n

These processors will be the first to feature the company’s AM4 socket<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That means these will be the first from AMD to support DDR4-compatible memory as well as achieve unified compatibility between high-end CPUs (currently using Socket AM3+) and AMD’s lower-end APU.<\/p>\n

AMD currently has announced seven CPUs, the A12-9800, A12-9800E, A10-9700, A10-9700E, A8-9600, A6-9500, and A6-950E, with the A12’s being the most powerful\u00a0chips equipped with four x86 Excavator CPU cores.<\/p>\n

Both of the\u00a0A12\u00a0CPUs will feature Radeon R7 graphics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There is currently no pricing or release date for the new processors,\u00a0although they are expected to\u00a0appear in AMD partner PCs (namely HP and Lenovo) first.<\/p>\n
