{"id":10369,"date":"2011-03-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-28T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"steam-coming-to-a-tv-near-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/10369-steam-coming-to-a-tv-near-you","title":{"rendered":"Steam coming to a TV near you"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Valve has announed its intentions to have its leading digital games platform, Steam, make the leap from PC monitors to TV screens.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our partners and customers have asked us to make Steam available in more places,&#8221; said Valve marketing VP Doug Lombardi. &#8220;With the introduction of Steam on the Mac, and soon in Portal 2 on the PS3, we&#8217;ve done just that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With big picture mode, gaming opportunities for Steam partners and customers become possible via PCs and Macs on any TV or computer display in the house.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our players are continually teaching us what works and what doesn&#8217;t. Much of this feedback can be generalized to other titles on Steam, so we&#8217;re looking forward to sharing what we&#8217;ve learned with partners at GDC.
