MyGaming recently reported <\/a><\/strong>on the news that the PC version of Battlefield 1 had received a 66% price increase.<\/p>\n

It has now been revealed that all EA games will be affected by this new price increase, most notably with FIFA 17 and Titanfall 2 both moving to the R1,000 standard price point<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This follows a recent persistent disparity<\/a><\/strong> between retail and digital video game prices in South Africa, with EA Games being much cheaper on Origin South Africa than from any local retailer.<\/p>\n

As this is the price “we are supposed to be paying” according to the current Rand\/Dollar exchange rate, don’t expect these prices to drop any time soon.<\/p>\n

This is especially concerning as PC games have traditionally been considered a cheaper option than console gaming but these new increases bring the two almost on par.<\/p>\n
