Over 100 Steam users are now facing legal action due to poor review scores given to a number of publisher Digital Homicide’s games.<\/p>\n
James Romine of Digital Homicide was granted the subpoena by a federal judge in Arizona, reports Polygon<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n “He is seeking the real identities of 100 users in an $18 million personal injury claim against these users for their comments and allegations of the studio’s products and how they were developed.”<\/p>\n Valve has since delisted all of Digital Homicide’s games from the service, accompanied by\u00a0the statement<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n “Valve has stopped doing business with Digital Homicide for being hostile to Steam.”<\/p>\n We’re still not sure what’s more ridiculous, the fact that gamers are being sued over an opinion-based review or the fact that a judge actually granted Digital Homicide’s application.<\/p>\n For context, Digital Homicide is\u00a0the company\u00a0behind gems such as\u00a0The Slaughtering Grounds<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
