The Witcher 3 will not be receiving a high-resolution patch for the PlayStation 4 Pro, GameRant <\/a><\/strong>reports.<\/p>\n

This means that despite the upcoming console offering a massive boost in graphics processing power, the game will look exactly the same as it did on the original PlayStation 4.<\/p>\n

Console gamers will not be able to play the game at an upscaled 4K resolution and will be stuck at 1080p, although they may experience a more stable framerate.<\/p>\n

CD Projekt RED has stated that it is possible to release a 4K resolution patch for the PS4 Pro, but this would be a drain on resources and would hinder production of its upcoming Gwent<\/strong>\u00a0collectible card game and the ambitious Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you were planning on buying the PS4 Pro to enjoy the Witcher 3 at upscaled 4K, you’d be better off buying a gaming PC instead.<\/p>\n
