Kwes\u00e9 Sports,<\/em> Econet Media\u2019s premium sports content platform, in partnership with Xbox has announced its first African Challenge Esport (ACE) gaming tournament.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be held in Johannesburg at this year’s rAge Expo from 7-9 October followed by Cape Town at Canal Walk from 28-30 October.<\/p>\n

The tournament will focus on the recently launched FIFA 17, with a R100,000<\/strong> prize pool up for grabs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to constantly engaging our audience in new and creative ways,\u201d said Joseph Hundah, CEO Econet Media.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gaming trend and community has grown dramatically over the past few years in South Africa, particularly e-sports, Kwese acknowledge that gaming is now an official sport and we want to be there to support gamers across the African continent.”<\/p>\n
