Earlier this week, LG managed to persuade courts to file a temporary injunction against Sony’s distribution of PS3 consoles in the Netherlands and elsewhere, pending further patent infringement litigation between the two companies.<\/p>\n
Consequently, some 300 000 consoles were seized and confiscated in the Netherlands, totalling some €43 millions worth of hardware. Now, according to Dutch site Inside Gamer<\/a>, this injunction has been revoked, and stock is scheduled to be re-released. LG has also been ordered to pay Sony’s legal fees – amounting to €130,000 – as well as an additional €200,000 for every day the company fails to comply with this. Ouchies.<\/p>\n
