Despite having a new game to play every year since 2007, a new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is one of the notable omissions of 2016.<\/p>\n

Standards have arguably dropped over the last couple of titles (both from a gameplay and technical point of view) but it’s easy to forget that the folks at Ubisoft still put out a massive single-player experience every year.<\/p>\n

That’s why it is surprising that a leaked image of “Empire”, an early prototype of the next Assassins Creed which appears to be set in Egypt, has surfaced online<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the game is still very early in development and Ubisoft has already confirmed <\/a><\/strong>that\u00a0it is highly unlikely we will see a new FarCry or Assassin’s Creed in 2017.<\/p>\n
