Kaby Lake is the first Intel processor to deviate from Intel’s traditional “tick-tock” development cycle, offering instead an \u00a0extra optimisation step before another die shrink.<\/p>\n

While hardware enthusiasts have worried about the reduction in processor optimisation and performance increases, the extra optimisation step seems to have kept up with expected levels of hardware improvement.<\/p>\n

The processors are on the verge of release, and a number of sources have gotten their hands on the next generation of Intel processors.<\/p>\n

PCWorld <\/a><\/strong>has published a review of the Kaby Lake Intel Core i5-7200U, comparing its performance to equivalent processors from previous generations.<\/p>\n

Although these are mobile processors, the performance difference between the equivalent CPUs should be in line with Kaby Lake desktop processor performance improvements.<\/p>\n
