Lake vs Skylake vs Broadwell &#8211; performance and specifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kaby Lake is the first Intel processor to deviate from Intel&#8217;s traditional &#8220;tick-tock&#8221; development cycle, offering instead an \u00a0extra optimisation step before another die shrink.<\/p>\n<p>While hardware enthusiasts have worried about the reduction in processor optimisation and performance increases, the extra optimisation step seems to have kept up with expected levels of hardware improvement.<\/p>\n<p>The processors are on the verge of release, and a number of sources have gotten their hands on the next generation of Intel processors.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/3127250\/hardware\/intel-kaby-lake-review-what-optimization-can-do-for-a-14nm-cpu.html\" target=\"_blank\">PCWorld <\/a><\/strong>has published a review of the Kaby Lake Intel Core i5-7200U, comparing its performance to equivalent processors from previous generations.<\/p>\n<p>Although these are mobile processors, the performance difference between the
