Earlier this year there was some concern in the gaming community as the price of new games from triple-A studios started touching\u00a0the R1,000 mark.<\/p>\n
A handful of console titles, such as Microsoft’s Quantum Break on Xbox One, even exceeded R1,000\u00a0at launch.<\/p>\n
Distributors have told MyGaming\u00a0that they have worked hard with partners to keep game prices below R1,000, but\u00a0there is only so much that can be done against\u00a0the weakening\u00a0rand.<\/p>\n
Dion Wired, for example, is\u00a0selling FIFA 17 for both current and previous generation<\/strong> consoles on its website<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for R1,150<\/strong>.<\/p>\n They’re not the only one either.
