Valve has started charging Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players to use sprays.<\/p>\n

On the South African Steam store, the new Graffitti box costs R21.67<\/strong> and will net you one of the rarer sprays.<\/p>\n

Sprays have long been a part of online gaming. They gave you a creative way to express your character at a time when voice-chat wasn’t feasible and tied into the rebellious counter-culture of gaming at the time.<\/p>\n

That’s why gamers were rather upset when Valve removed sprays from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.<\/p>\n

Now they’re back, and Valve has made them both limited-use and a paid-for cosmetic item in the game.<\/p>\n

“Now each spray uses up a chunk of your can. A full can lasts for 50 sprays. Any more than this and you\u2019ll have to pay for a paint refill,” reports GameDebate<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sprays are also no longer custom and can only be earned in unlockable crates or through the in-game store.<\/p>\n

Many gamers have voiced their frustration and anger with the game’s latest update,\u00a0Kotaku reports<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
