reveals Xperia XZ and Compact X South African pricing and release date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony has officially unveiled the South African Pricing and release date for its new Xperia\u00a0smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>The Xperia\u00a0XZ will release on tariff-based plans at around<strong> R469-R579<\/strong> per month with a recommended retail price of<strong> R12,999<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Xperia\u00a0X Compact\u00a0tariff-based plans will be priced at around <strong>R300-R400<\/strong> per month\u00a0with a recommended retail price of <strong>R9,999<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sony has made it clear that it wishes to make a statement with its pricing, offering a high-end smartphone at a more affordable price.<\/p>\n<p>Both phones are currently available at Vodacom and MTN branches as well as on Takealot.<\/p>\n<p>Sony are also running a number of special campaigns with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.takealot.com\/sony-xperia-xz-32gb-lte-bundle-forest-blue\/PLID42505514\" target=\"_blank\">Takealot,\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>offering the XPERIA XZ at R12,999 with a free Xperia XA Ultra.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom are also giving away a free Sony Xperia E4 to the first 100 customers who purchase an Xperia XZ.<\/p>\n<p>The first 1,000 MTN users will receive a free Smartwatch 3 with the
