If you try to visit G3AR.co.za you will be greeted with an error message saying the website is no longer available.<\/p>\n

Googling the webpage provides no mention of gaming, but rather “Quick Flip References For Common Core State Standards Gr 11 – 12″ <\/span>and a warning from Google that the website has\u00a0possibly been hacked.<\/p>\n

While we could not access the site directly, we subsequently used The Wayback Machine to see what the site looked like on 12 October<\/a>,<\/strong> and it looks like\u00a0the site was hacked with Chinese text displayed prominently at the top of the screen.<\/p>\n

An industry source said that G3AR has been killed off by publisher Panorama and would not be used further.<\/p>\n

The source was unsure about the hack, but said it was plausible that the site could’ve been hacked as it\u00a0was not being actively monitored.<\/p>\n

The G3AR writing team has officially been moved to GameArena.co.za<\/a><\/strong> in a bid to both simultaneously reboot the website and distance themselves from the G3AR name.<\/p>\n

We contacted publisher\u00a0Panorama Media<\/a>,<\/strong> which said that\u00a0it no longer owns the G3AR website.<\/p>\n
