{"id":108821,"date":"2016-10-20T16:16:18","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T14:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=108821"},"modified":"2016-10-20T16:19:30","modified_gmt":"2016-10-20T14:19:30","slug":"nintendo-reveals-its-new-gaming-console-the-nintendo-switch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/nintendo\/108821-nintendo-reveals-its-new-gaming-console-the-nintendo-switch","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo reveals its new gaming console, the Nintendo Switch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nintendo has unveiled its next-gen gaming console, the Switch.<\/p>\n<p>The company released a short preview video of the console which showed off the console and its wide variety of features.<\/p>\n<p>Previously code-named the NX, the Nintendo Switch is a hybrid gaming console that can be used both as a handheld gaming platform and a traditional console connected to a television.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Nintendo Switch Dock<\/strong> connects the system to the TV and lets you play\u00a0like you would using a traditional console. By lifting the console from the dock, the system will instantly transition to portable mode.<\/p>\n<p>The detachable Joy-Con controllers can fit onto the sides of the console to use the device as a handheld, or they can slot into a special controller for couch gaming.
