Microsoft has announced the Windows 10 Creators Update, the next big release\u00a0for Windows 10.<\/p>\n
The update will be available between March and May 2017, and\u00a0will focus on features such as 3D content creation and gaming.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are expanding on our vision of mixed reality,\u201d said Microsoft\u2019s executive vice president of the Windows and Devices Group, Terry Myerson.<\/p>\n
This includes augmented reality, virtual reality, and HoloLens.\u00a0Microsoft said the update will empower everyone to create\u00a0in 3D.<\/p>\n
Another set of features\u00a0launching in the update will offer gamers the best experience in 4K gaming and broadcasting, said Myerson.<\/p>\n
One of the\u00a0new apps\u00a0coming in the Creators Update for Windows 10 is Paint 3D.<\/p>\n
Microsoft said it will roll out apps to mobile devices that will allow you to capture objects in the real world through a smartphone\u2019s camera and turn them into 3D models.<\/p>\n
These models may be imported into\u00a0Paint 3D and manipulated as part of a larger 3D image.<\/p>\n
Microsoft announced\u00a0a community for 3D creators, Remix3d.com,\u00a0along with a partnership with SketchUp by Trimble.<\/p>\n
This will bring SketchUp creations to the Paint 3D community, said Microsoft.<\/p>\n
Microsoft gave an example of\u00a0Paint 3D\u2019s functionality by stating that\u00a0Minecraft players can\u00a0export their in-game creations to Paint 3D and then\u00a03D print them from the app.<\/p>\n
