movement for the state to secede from the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The movement is headed by Silicon Vally-based investor and businessman Shervin Pishevar, who has named the independent state of California the &#8220;<strong>New California Republic<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>If this name seems familiar to you, it&#8217;s because the New California Republic is a major faction in Bethesda&#8217;s Fallout games.<\/p>\n<p>The Fallout games are based in a post-apocalyptic wasteland following the mutual nuclear destruction of the world&#8217;s superpowers, where the New California Republic resembles a\u00a0democratic and civilized faction in a world of corrupt and barbaric wasteland gangs.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/shervin-pishevar-fallout-calexit-movement-2016-11\" target=\"_blank\">Business Insider<\/a><\/strong>, Pishevar stated that although the\u00a0similarities were
