games are running slower on the PS4 Pro than the original PS4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While the PlayStation 4 Pro offers a general increase in graphics processing power and consequently both performance and visual improvements, it still has a few problems.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/digitalfoundry-2016-why-are-some-ps4-pro-titles-running-slower-than-base-hardware\" target=\"_blank\">Eurogamer<\/a><\/strong>, a few PS4 Pro titles are running worse on the new console than the original PlayStation 4.<\/p>\n<p>These titles include <strong>Skyrim Special Edition<\/strong>, <strong>The Last of Us Remastered<\/strong>, and <strong>Mantis Burn Racing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On these titles, gameplay will be smoother on the base PlayStation 4 hardware than on the new PS4 Pro.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">The Last of Us Remastered<\/h3>\n<p>The Last of Us Remastered provides the most noticeable performance difference so far, with the base PS4 offering a\u00a0more stable framerate than the PS4 Pro.<\/p>\n<p>On the PS4 Pro, The Last of Us Remastered allows you to crank up the resolution to either 3,200 x 1,800 at 60fps or native 4K at 30fps with full HDR support.<\/p>\n<p>However, players cannot opt for an enhanced performance mode, and both of these resolution settings offer worse performance than the base settings running on the original PlayStation 4\u00a0hardware.<\/p>\n<p>The performance difference between the two versions is frequent enough to be easily noticeable when compared side-by-side.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a58dH2OzgB0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Skyrim<\/h3>\n<p>Skyrim&#8217;s performance on the PS4 Pro is also worse than the base PlayStation 4, especially in more complex scenes, where the additional effects of the PS4 Pro&#8217;s graphics settings causes the new hardware to stutter noticeably.<\/p>\n<p>Skyrim Special Edition on the PS4 Pro can be played in a down-sampled 1080p resolution or 4K resolution.<\/p>\n<p>This gives the PS4 Pro&#8217;s 1080p mode a sharper image than the original hardware, although there is no
