HBO is talking\u00a0George R.R. Martin about creating a Game of Thrones prequel series.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/strong>, HBO programming president Casey Bloys confirmed discussions about a possible prequel series were ongoing.<\/p>\n “I would say it\u2019s still kind of preliminary, ongoing talks,” said Bloys.<\/p>\n “There are areas we are exploring but I wouldn\u2019t point to any one and say this is what we\u2019re going to do.”<\/p>\n HBO seems interested in exploring every possible possibility with regards to taking the Game of Thrones series forwards after its eighth and final season.<\/p>\n When asked whether the final hours of the popular series would be released in theaters, Bloys said he hasn’t ruled it out.<\/p>\n “I want everything I can get for HBO, let me put it that way.”<\/p>\n Game of Thrones Season 7 is set to premiere later than usual, sometime in Winter 2017.<\/p>\n HBO is talking to George R.R.
