Being a gamer isn\u2019t cheap, ya\u2019 know!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Xbox One S<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Xbox One S will touch down in South Africa in Q1 2017, just in time for you to get your pre-order in for Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>But what exactly does the Xbox One S offer? To be blunt, existing Xbox One owners won&#8217;t need\u00a0to upgrade unless they&#8217;re desperate to own an Ultra 4K HD blu-ray player, or really want that tiny boost in power the Xbox One S provides.<\/p>\n<p>But the most most striking and attractive aspect to the Xbox One S is its design. Finally, it&#8217;s arriving.<\/p>\n<p>PlayStation&#8217;s VR headset is\u00a0a very capable and comparatively affordable headset that\u00a0has the arduous task of completely immersing you in a video game by producing two images simultaneously and then sending them to a display.<\/p>\n<p>But unlike the competition who require expensive graphics cards to get the job done, PS VR can do it using only the PlayStation 4&#8217;s built-in GPU.<\/p>\n<p>PlayStation&#8217;s VR headset will launch in January 2017 for\u00a0<strong>R6,499.99<\/strong> alongside a bunch of VR-specific games; a\u00a0PS VR bundle that includes a camera will retail for <strong>R7,299.99<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t already own the PlayStation Camera or Move Motion Controllers, the Launch Day bundle is the better bet here \u2013 especially considering that you&#8217;ll get one of \u00a0the new games, PlayStation VR Worlds, for free.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-95153\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR.jpg\" alt=\"PS VR\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR.jpg 800w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR-230x130.jpg 230w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/PS-VR-640x360.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>PS4 Pro<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Formerly codenamed PlayStation Neo, Sony &#8216;s PlayStation 4 Pro, which will be priced at\u00a0<strong>R6,999<\/strong>, is an exciting prospect for those who have been sitting on the fence about getting a gaming console.<\/p>\n<p>The PS4 Pro\u00a0will complement the standard PS4 rather than replace it. The name was picked to show that it is part of the current version of the console, but aimed at high-end gamers.<\/p>\n<p>Among the hardware upgrades in the PS4 Pro are a 1TB hard drive, doubled GPU power, and technology adapted from AMD Polaris graphics architecture.<\/p>\n<p>These allow the PS4 Pro to reach resolutions \u201cnot thought possible on consoles\u201d in 2016. The CPU clock speed has also been boosted.
