NPD has unveiled its official list of the best-selling games of October.<\/p>\n

In a month where a staggering $875.7 million was spent in the industry, Battlefield 1 came out on top as the best-selling game while the Xbox One was the best-selling console over the month-long period.<\/p>\n

These statistics do not include PC game sales, although researchers pointed out that this would likely only increase Battlefield 1’s lead.<\/p>\n

This marks an upward trend for the industry (following a continuous declines since June) and a 36% year-on-year increase in software sales for the month.<\/p>\n
