The French FA recently tied a partnership with Fifa developer EA Sport<\/a><\/strong>, that would see each of the 20 football clubs in Ligue 1 sponsoring two Fifa players,\u00a0reports The Drum<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Additional football associations are reportedly planning similar initiatives to spark a wider competition across Europe.<\/p>\n

While the majority of these eSports signings are FIFA-centric, many clubs now also boast a LoL, DOTA 2 and CounterStrike: Global Offensive team.<\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/strong>, Manchester<\/strong> United<\/strong>, Bayern<\/strong> Munich<\/strong> and more have all shown a keen interest in entering the market.<\/p>\n
