{"id":111737,"date":"2016-11-24T12:22:47","date_gmt":"2016-11-24T10:22:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=111737"},"modified":"2016-11-24T12:23:35","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T10:23:35","slug":"mega8-launches-r50000-dota-2-summer-invitational-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/111737-mega8-launches-r50000-dota-2-summer-invitational-tournament","title":{"rendered":"Mega8 launches R50,000 Dota 2 Summer Invitational tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mega8 is hosting a R50,000 Summer Invitational Dota 2 tournament ahead of its local competitive gaming platform.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament will feature the top eight Dota 2 teams in South Africa battling it out for a share of R50,000.<\/p>\n<p>The Summer Invitational Dota 2 tournament will be held from 2-4 December and broadcasted live from Cape Town on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCs7A8axQ0YlEDBQ2YJQmxjA\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>YouTube<\/strong> <\/a>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/mega8esports\" target=\"_blank\">Twitch<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the teams playing in the Mega8 Dota 2 Summer Invitational tournament:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Aperture Gaming<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>White Rabbit Gaming<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Exdee Gaming<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Carbon<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>XTC<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bravado Gaming<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ventus Pink<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Flipsid3 Tactics<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mega8 is a South African eSports platform which plans to launch public leagues and tournaments in 2017 open to all local gamers.<\/p>\n<p>The platform will host four ten-team leagues and a ladder league for both CS:GO and Dota 2.
