{"id":112205,"date":"2016-11-28T12:50:46","date_gmt":"2016-11-28T10:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=112205"},"modified":"2016-11-28T13:08:17","modified_gmt":"2016-11-28T11:08:17","slug":"the-playstation-4-pro-is-not-working-properly-on-a-wide-range-of-tvs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/112205-the-playstation-4-pro-is-not-working-properly-on-a-wide-range-of-tvs","title":{"rendered":"Serious PlayStation 4 Pro problems on a wide range of TVs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Several complaints have begun to arise surrounding the PS4 Pro&#8217;s incompatibility with a wide range of TVs from multiple brands, reports <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/johnarcher\/2016\/11\/26\/ps4-pro-tv-connection-problems-samsung-and-vizio-respond\/#49e6c1d5371a\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The issues are numerous ranging from\u00a0 blank screens when connecting their PS4 Pro to their TV to the PS4 Pro refusing to correctly identify the capabilities of the TVs they\u2019re connected to.<\/p>\n<p>As such a number of brands have issued comment as to the PS4 Pro&#8217;s functionality with their devices.<\/p>\n<p>You can read the official responses below:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>PlayStation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of the reports, but we encourage our users to first check their TV settings, firmware or HDMI to make sure that the TV is capable of supporting both 4K and HDR and that TV and PS4 Pro are connected appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>LG<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cLG will provide a solution via a software upgrade at the end of November.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Vizio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of the reports, but we encourage our users to first check their TV settings, firmware or HDMI to make sure that the TV is capable of supporting both 4K and HDR and that TV and PS4 Pro are connected appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-111177\" src=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1.jpg\" alt=\"ps4-pro\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1-230x130.jpg 230w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PS4-Pro-1-640x360.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Vizio further highlighted that the problem could be resolved by first running the PS4 in safe-mode although warned that this could result in data loss.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes reached out to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/johnarcher\/2016\/11\/26\/ps4-pro-tv-connection-problems-samsung-and-vizio-respond\/#49e6c1d5371a\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung,\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>who noted that the PS4 Pro was working with all of their 2016 televisions.
