If you’re one of the two people on the planet who hasn’t yet played Markus “Notch” Persson’s indie blockbuster build-anything-and-burn-it sim Minecraft, the game is now available in a compact, timed demo form. Time to stop making excuses, and start making gigantic genitalia.<\/p>\n
The 4 MB demo includes 90 minutes of the game’s single-player “campaign” mode, with all tools, minerals, and other stuff accessible from the start to give you everything you need to indulge all your wildest god delusions. Once your time’s up, the current world locks up and can no longer be edited, but you’ll be able to start over again in a brand new, procedurally-generated world if you’re not already convinced it’s the best thing ever.<\/p>\n
Minecraft is still technically in beta, although it’s already available in both free and premium versions, with almost 7 million subscribers. Persson announced back in April that the game would be moving out of beta on 11 November, and become a real game. <\/p>\n
