Nvidia\u2019s new GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards for laptops were recently adopted\u00a0by a range of hardware manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Many new notebooks featuring the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti launched at CES 2017, and continue with the 10-series theme of not using the\u00a0mobile class naming convention.<\/p>\n

Instead, they use the same\u00a0names as their desktop counterparts.<\/p>\n

In some cases, though, there are differences between the mobile and desktop versions of GTX 10-series graphics cards.<\/p>\n

The GTX 1050 mobile graphics card is largely similar to its desktop counterpart, with a slightly higher Boost Clock speed.<\/p>\n

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti mobile GPU has the same number of CUDA Cores as the desktop version, but features a significantly higher Base and Boost Clock speed.<\/p>\n

These two mid-range cards are available in many new gaming laptops, including Dell\u2019s Inspiron<\/a><\/strong> series, Lenovo\u2019s Legion<\/a><\/strong> series, and Samsung\u2019s Odyssey<\/a><\/strong> lineup.<\/p>\n

The installation of the 1050 and 1050 Ti in laptops rounds out the new 10-series range, which also features the GTX 1060, GTX 1070, and GTX 1080.<\/p>\n
