Improvements in HDD and SSD technology have allowed users to continuously increase their desktop storage and performance.<\/p>\n

While hard drives offer good storage capacity at a relatively low price, users who want faster speeds tend to opt for\u00a0solid state drives.<\/p>\n

Solid state drives use non-volatile NAND flash memory as storage, offering reduced capacity but much faster speeds than conventional disk drives.<\/p>\n

SSDs are more expensive than HDDs, though,\u00a0so the substantial increase in performance comes at a price.<\/p>\n

SSDs also come in multiple form factors due to the bandwidth limitations of standard SATA ports, which affect high-end SSD performance.<\/p>\n
