Ryzen 7 vs Intel Core i7 &#8211; gaming performance comparison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AMD\u2019s Ryzen 7 processors are competing\u00a0against Intel in the high-end desktop market.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-core Ryzen 7 chips are designed for high-performance processing and professional applications, and are an ideal\u00a0option for high-end gamers.<\/p>\n<p>We compared the gaming performance of Intel\u2019s high-end Core i7 processors against AMD\u2019s new Ryzen line-up across\u00a0numerous titles to see who came out on top.<\/p>\n<p>CPU benchmark data from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guru3d.com\/articles-pages\/amd-ryzen-7-1700x-review,1.html\" target=\"_blank\">Guru3D<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was used for the comparison, with all\u00a0processors tested on a system consisting of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080<\/li>\n<li>16GB DDR4 2,666MHz RAM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We took the frames per second each CPU delivered in four games and calculated an average FPS value to reflect overall performance.<\/p>\n<p>Both Full HD and WQHD benchmarks were included in the comparison, along with a 3DMark FireStrike Score.<\/p>\n<p>The Ryzen 7 1700 was not included in the performance in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/199994-amd-ryzen-7-vs-intel-core-i7-pricing-and-performance.html\" target=\"_blank\">professional benchmarks<\/a><\/strong>, they fall slightly short in terms of gaming performance against Intel\u2019s Core i7 processors.<\/p>\n<p>However, the processors are still relatively cheap and are a major improvement over AMD\u2019s last generation of desktop chips.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, AMD\u2019s $499 Ryzen 7 1800X offers performance nearly equal to Intel processors which are\u00a0twice the price.<\/p>\n<p>If you are all about performance, though, the best gaming processor on the market\u00a0is still the Intel Core i7 7700K.<\/p>\n<p><em>This article first appeared on <strong><a
