mobile broadband speeds in SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=eu.vspeed.mybroadband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MyBroadband Speed Test App<\/strong><\/a> results reveal that the MTN network recorded the highest mobile broadband speed test \u2013 284Mbps.<\/p>\n<p>MyBroadband launched its free speed test app for Android in April, which offers users an easy and ad-free way to test their Internet connection.<\/p>\n<p>The app also provides a map of where users conduct their tests and makes it possible to record and export the speed test results.<\/p>\n<p>In May, 52,685 tests were conducted from thousands of mobile devices \u2013 providing a good overview of the operators\u2019 performance.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Top 20 mobile broadband speeds<\/h3>\n<p>The May 2017 <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=eu.vspeed.mybroadband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MyBroadband Speed Test App<\/strong><\/a> results show that MTN recorded 9 of the top 10 results.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom was the only other operator which broke into the top 20, with a peak speed of 251Mbps.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The highest speed recorded on Cell C\u2019s network was 83Mbps.<\/li>\n<li>The peak speed on Telkom\u2019s network was 60Mbps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div
