Ryzen Threadripper CPUs &#8211; South African pricing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South African retailers have listed pricing for AMD\u2019s new Ryzen Threadripper processors.<\/p>\n<p>Local pricing is available for the Threadripper 1920X and Threadripper 1950X, which are set to arrive in the country from tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>The processors are high-end desktop chips and support the manufacturer\u2019s new X399 chipset with TR4 socket.<\/p>\n<p>Like other Ryzen processors, Threadipper chips are based on AMD\u2019s 14nm Zen microarchitecture \u2013 although they are much larger and not compatible with the AM4 socket.<\/p>\n<p>Threadripper processors compete against Intel\u2019s new Core X lineup of desktop chips, as both boast large core counts and high price
