While Microsoft has announced a 7 November global launch for the Xbox One X<\/strong><\/a>, its launch date in South Africa can not yet be confirmed.<\/p>\n

Microsoft South Africa said that the clearance certification for the Xbox One X to land locally is still being approved<\/p>\n

\u201cEnsuring that Xbox One X gets into the South African market as close to global release as possible is our main priority,\u201d said Colin Baumgart, consumer director for Microsoft South Africa.<\/p>\n

However, until the clearance certificate is approved the local arrival date can\u2019t be confirmed for either availability or pre-orders, Microsoft said.<\/p>\n

The Xbox One X will be distributed by Prima Interactive, and will be available in select retail outlets.<\/p>\n

Microsoft also said that the estimated retail price will be announced closer to the time of arrival in the country.<\/p>\n

Previously the Xbox One X landing page listed the South African price<\/strong><\/a> for the upcoming console as R7,499.<\/p>\n

The price was removed following the recent announcement of the Xbox One X Project Scorpio<\/strong><\/a> limited edition version of the console.<\/p>\n
