happening at rAge 2017 in Johannesburg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>rAge 2017 is set to kick off this weekend, featuring gaming and hardware exhibits, eSports tournaments, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>The expo will take place from 6-8 October at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>There are a lot of events happening over the weekend, and gamers will have their hands full trying to experience every exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve broken down what you can look forward to at rAge 2017, below.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Hardware<\/h3>\n<p>PC components, consoles, peripherals, and other hardware will be on sale at the event.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights include HP\u2019s Omen gaming machines, Astrum peripherals, custom-made mousepads, and custom water-cooled gaming PCs.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Development<\/h3>\n<p>Many game development organisations will have exhibits at the event, educating visitors about the game development industry.<\/p>\n<p>WeThinkCode, Vega School, AS Game Development College, and The Innovation Hub will exhibit at rAge.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Merchandise<\/h3>\n<p>Geek and gaming merchandise will be on sale at rAge, with everything from comics to clothing on offer.<\/p>\n<p>Other products for sale will include gaming-related art, jewellery, and airsoft supplies.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Games<\/h3>\n<p>The latest games for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and other platforms will be available at rAge.<\/p>\n<p>Gamers will also be able to play pre-release versions of a number of titles, including Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Call of Duty: WWII.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">eSports<\/h3>\n<p>rAge 2017 plays host to the biggest eSport events of the year, the VS Gaming Championships and the ESLA Africa grand finals.<\/p>\n<p>The tournaments will see South Africa\u2019s best Counter-Strike and Dota 2 players going for million-rand prize pools.<\/p>\n<p>Other tournaments at the events encompass Hearthstone, Call of Duty, Battlefield 4, and Overwatch.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Competitions<\/h3>\n<p>There will be numerous competitions and giveaways running throughout the event.<\/p>\n<p>Gamers can enter to win prizes from Matrix
