It has increased the price of classifying content and proposed the introduction of a per-title and per-season licensing scheme for online distributors.<\/p>\n<p>The FPB said the tariffs apply to movies, series, games, and apps.<\/p>\n<p>Its proposed pricing scheme is summarised in the table below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"myg_table\">\n<div class=\"table-responsive\"><table class=\"table\" cellpadding=\"7\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"text-align: left;\">Number of titles<\/th>\n<th style=\"text-align: left;\">Films\/Games<\/th>\n<th style=\"text-align: left;\">Series<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>0-499<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>R259.31\/title<\/td>\n<td>R1,037.24\/season<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>500-999<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>R207.45\/title<\/td>\n<td>R829.79\/season<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>1,000+<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>R165.96\/title<\/td>\n<td>R663.83\/season<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>If a distributor offers over 1,000 titles, the fee for 0-499 titles is applied to the first 499, the 500-999 fee is applied to the next 500 titles, and the 1,000+ fee is applied to the rest.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">How much Steam must pay<\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/search\/?category1=998%2C994%2C992%2C997\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steam reports<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0that it has 18,720 titles on its platform.
