For the 14 gamers in the world who don’t own Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, or the sequel Modern Warfare 2, Valve is flogging them both for half price today on Steam. <\/p>\n

That brings CoD 4 to $14.99 (R105) and Modern Warfare 2 to $19.99 (R140). <\/p>\n

Say what you like about the diminishing quality of the Call of Duty franchise, both games are well worth the reduced price tags. <\/p>\n

If you already own Modern Warfare 2, then you can grab the Stimulus and Resurgance DLC packs, which each add some new maps for $7.49 (R52) a piece. Or, you could buy Wings of Prey, which is on special on Steam for another 3 hours for the same price. Just sayin’, Activision.<\/em> <\/p>\n

So if you’ve never bought into the the CoD hype, and want to understand the inherent trolling that goes hand in hand with every release in the series, then CoD 4 is a great place to start, and for R105 it’s a no-brainer. Sure, given that it’s just under 4 years old, R105 should probably the regular price tag, but we’re willing to forgive it because Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remains one of the most respected online shooters ever released. <\/p>\n
