{"id":123056,"date":"2018-01-23T10:02:02","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T08:02:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=123056"},"modified":"2018-01-23T10:02:02","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T08:02:02","slug":"please-put-gamers-before-miners-nvidia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/hardware\/123056-please-put-gamers-before-miners-nvidia","title":{"rendered":"Please put gamers before miners \u2014 Nvidia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nvidia has appealed to PC retailers to prioritise gamers over cryptocurrency miners.<\/p>\n<p>The company reportedly told German site <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerbase.de\/2018-01\/nvidia-geforce-gtx-verkauf-an-spieler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ComputerBase.de<\/a><\/strong> that\u00a0retailers should sell no more than two of the same cards per customer.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after demand for graphics cards from cryptocurrency miners has resulted in global shortages \u2013 including <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/245107-buying-a-graphics-card-in-south-africa-youll-have-to-wait.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>in South Africa<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia said it is merely making a recommendation, however, and distributors and retailers will have the final say.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Nvidia, gamers come first.
