{"id":123437,"date":"2022-02-02T14:02:13","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T12:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=123437"},"modified":"2022-02-03T07:16:17","modified_gmt":"2022-02-03T05:16:17","slug":"the-2022-razer-blade-15-advanced-is-stealthy-but-strong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/hardware\/123437-the-2022-razer-blade-15-advanced-is-stealthy-but-strong","title":{"rendered":"The 2022 Razer Blade 15 Advanced is stealthy but strong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PC lovers may look down on laptops as devices for making excel spreadsheets or watching Netflix in bed, but the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is a gaming beast stuffed in a sleek form factor.<\/p>\n<p>Razer has revealed new 2022 updated configurations for their popular Blade gaming laptops.<\/p>\n<p>Razer is calling this range &#8220;the world&#8217;s fastest laptops for gamers and creators.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The top of the range Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2022) comes in at R69088 ($4520) and can be pre-ordered from Razer and select retailers.<\/p>\n<p>If the Razer 15 Advanced is out of your budget or spending that much money on a laptop is ludicrous, Razer offers various different configurations in the same 15&#8242; lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The base model sporting up to an RTX 3070 and a 6-Core Intel i7 costs R38177 ($2499).<\/p>\n<p>However, I would definitely grab the R69088 ($4520) model if money was not a consideration.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Specifications<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.png4_.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123455 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.png4_.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"531\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.png4_.png 531w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.png4_-300x269.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The above figures are sourced from the Ryzen website and indicate the immense processing and graphical power the 2022 Blade 15 Advanced has.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">How it compares to the 2022 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15<\/h3>\n<p>The Razer Blade 15&#8217;s biggest competitor is the Ryzen ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15.<\/p>\n<p>With almost the same specs despite processors, the major deciding factors between the two models are design appeal and personal preference.<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 model of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 launched on the 5th of January, encloses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an AMD Ryzen 9th Gen 6900HS processor,<\/li>\n<li>32Gb of DDR5 RAM,<\/li>\n<li>an RTX 3080 GPU,<\/li>\n<li>a 1Tb SSD,<\/li>\n<li>and a 15&#8243; 4k 144Hz display<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In most cases, the Razer outperforms the ASUS G15 in games as well as video rendering.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG2_.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123453 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG2_-640x360.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This benchmark provided by Hardware Canucks shows the Razer outperforming the ASUS with 90FPS compared to 80FPS when playing Jedi: Fallen Order on the Epic Preset (highest settings). Bear in mind that these figures are from 2021 with the base version of the Blade 15; such figures are only to improve in the new 2022 versions.<\/p>\n<p>To make the Razer&#8217;s 12th Gen i9 Intel stand apart from the ASUS processor, Razer has introduced custom software that lets the user toggle between different GPU and CPU modes individually that balance performance and acoustics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-123451 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"764\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG-1.png 575w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Capture.PNG-1-226x300.png 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 90W battery of the ASUS does, however, outlast the Razer&#8217;s 82W.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Razers having a history of not holding a charge, especially when doing demanding work, Razer has introduced new 4th generation Max-Q Technologies, a CPU Optimizer, Rapid Core Scaling and Battery Boost 2.0, to tackle this issue face on.<\/p>\n<p>Another consideration why the Razer Blade 15 Advanced takes the cake is its robust design compared to the ASUS.<\/p>\n<p>The ASUS looks much more like a plastic gaming laptop with ports that stick out and look disorganised.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Sleek form factor<\/h3>\n<p>Critics often argue the matt black boxy design of the Razer Blade 15 is plain and boring.
