{"id":12349,"date":"2011-06-13T11:46:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-13T09:46:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"peter-molyneux-calls-e3-fable-journey-demo-a-horrendous-mistake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/12349-peter-molyneux-calls-e3-fable-journey-demo-a-horrendous-mistake","title":{"rendered":"Peter Molyneux calls E3 Fable: Journey demo a \u201chorrendous mistake\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a video interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oxm.co.uk\/30071\/news\/molyneux-fable-kinect-demo-a-horrendous-mistake\/\" target=\"_blank\">OXM<\/a>, Lionhead man and press wizard Peter Molyneux has just about disowned the E3 Fable: Journey reveal demo as a &ldquo;horrendous mistake&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently the impression that it&rsquo;s an on-rails game was quite false, and it seems instead that the open world navigation options were simply nixed for the purposes of showing off the Kinect-powered game&rsquo;s magic system and steering controls.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I made a horrendous mistake on the press demo on taking out the navigation allowing players to move,&#8221; he says. &#8220;I&#8217;ll state on record now that Fable: The Journey is definitely not on rails.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He then shows a whiteboard cluttered with the signatures of several dozen journalists attesting to this fact.<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&rsquo;t make this up if I tried. Besides, the game still looks pretty rubbish &ndash; although it might be a bit early to say for sure.
