AMD has updated the integrated graphics engine in its 6000 series mobile CPUs to use RDNA 2 architecture, leading to impressive performance increases over previous generations of its integrated GPUs (iGPUs).<\/p>\n

Gaming benchmarks have shown that AMD\u2019s new Rembrandt mobile CPUs outperform Intel\u2019s 12th-generation Alder Lake equivalents for the majority of games tested.<\/p>\n

Gaming Performance<\/h3>\n

Chinese news outlet<\/a> Zhuanlan’s 1080p gaming benchmarks show that AMD has taken the necessary steps to improve its previous iteration of integrated graphics, known as Vega.<\/p>\n

When comparing AMD\u2019s mid-range Ryzen 5 6600H (red bar) against Intel\u2019s equivalent i5-12500H (light blue bar) and higher-tier i7-12700H (dark blue bar), the 6600H came out on top in the majority of games.<\/p>\n

This is not only the case for AMD’s mid-range entry but also for its top-of-the-line CPUs. In a recent video by Linus Tech Tips<\/a>, AMD’s R9 6900HS outperformed Intel’s i9-12900HK easily in Forza Horizon 5.<\/p>\n

These results make it easy to see why both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X currently utilise RDNA 2-based iGPUs and why Valve’s Steam Deck will also use this graphics engine.<\/p>\n

Power Efficiency<\/h3>\n

In addition to fantastic gaming performance, the 6000 series mobile chips offer impressive improvements in battery life.<\/p>\n

A recent video<\/a> by Linus Tech Tips showcased that the new Zephyrus G14 model containing a Ryzen 6900HS managed to last 6 hours longer than its last-generation counterpart, even though both laptops have the same batteries and display resolutions.<\/p>\n

These results show that 60+ fps entry-level gaming performance is now accessible without a dedicated graphics card thanks to AMD’s RDNA 2 integrated graphics.<\/p>\n
