According to Wccftech<\/a>, AMD plans to take on Intel’s 12th-gen Alder Lake processors by launching the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, and Ryzen 5 5500 soon.<\/p>\n

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is the top processor in this range and will incorporate AMD’s new 3D V-cache technology – a vertically stacked cache will increase available memory in the Ryzen 7 5800X3D to 96 MB L3 vs. the current 32 MB L3 in the Ryzen 7 5800X.<\/p>\n

The new 5800X3D is set to compete with Intel’s top-of-the-line Core i9-12900K and will reportedly offer up to 15% faster 1080p gaming performance<\/a> compared to AMD’s current best CPU, the Ryzen 9 5900X.<\/p>\n

AMD also plans to bring more budget-friendly options to the CPU market alongside its Ryzen 7 5800X3D.<\/p>\n

The Ryzen 7 5700X will aim to dethrone Intel’s Core i5-12600K and will feature 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 65W TDP at a similar price to Intel’s offering.<\/p>\n

The Ryzen 5600 will directly compete with Intel’s Core i5-12400 for the number one spot as the best budget CPU on the market right now.<\/p>\n

Finally, gamers will have the option to choose between the Ryzen 5 5500 or the Core i3-12100 for an entry-level PC build.<\/p>\n

AMD has set a release window for Spring 2022, meaning these new CPUs will arrive shortly.<\/p>\n

This will likely be the last of AMD’s CPUs to run on the AM4 chipset platform, as AMD will launch its Ryzen 7000 series processors based on the new AM5 platform later this year.<\/p>\n
