Hogwarts Legacy<\/em> is being developed by Avalanche and will be made available across all major platforms. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2022, but no specific date has been announced.<\/p>\n

Avalanche has teased information about the game since its initial reveal at a PlayStation 5 event in 2021, and this has generated massive hype amongst RPG fans.<\/p>\n

While there is lots that we don’t know about this game, here are five reasons you should be excited about its release.<\/p>\n

Experience an original story<\/h3>\n

The Harry Potter series is one of the most successful franchises in the world and it had millions of fans even before the books were adapted into the blockbuster movies we all know and love.<\/p>\n

This is partly due to the rich storytelling and character development we experienced throughout the Harry Potter series.<\/p>\n

Hogwarts Legacy<\/em> is currently working with Warner Bros to develop an original storyline for the game, which means players will get to enjoy a brand-new narrative that will attempt to live up to the beloved Harry Potter experience.<\/p>\n

Explore Hogwarts like never before<\/h3>\n

The game will take place in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and unlike the books and movies, Hogwarts Legacy<\/em> will allow players to explore every inch of the famed grounds in immersive detail.<\/p>\n

Play Quidditch<\/h3>\n

Every Harry Potter fan knows and loves Quidditch. The sport even got its own video game called Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup<\/em>, which was released by EA in 2003.<\/p>\n

Snippets of the new trailer show that Quidditch will be a part of Hogwarts Legacy<\/em>, and given the graphics available to us in 2022, it is an exciting prospect that we might be able to play the fictitious sport in all its glory on the latest generation of PCs and consoles.<\/p>\n

Other fun activities<\/h3>\n

Quidditch isn\u2019t the only activity Hogwarts Legacy<\/em> will have to offer.<\/p>\n

After choosing their houses, players will have to go about learning the mystical arts of spell casting and potion brewing to develop their reputation as an upcoming witch or wizard.<\/p>\n

These lessons will be tested as you\u2019ll be faced with many challenges and dangers within Hogwarts, which may include fire-breathing dragons, Dementors, and dungeon trolls.<\/p>\n

Choose your path<\/h3>\n

One of the biggest draws to Hogwarts Legacy<\/em> is the fact that it’s set in the 1800s, which means players don\u2019t have to live in the shadows of characters like Harry Potter or Hermione Granger.<\/p>\n

The game will give players room to grow and develop their own protagonists, as the absence of a character frame leaves players with the freedom of choosing their own path.<\/p>\n

Players will also be presented with scenarios in which they must choose to use their magic for good or evil. If dark magic is more your thing, then this game might give you the opportunity to build a reputation that may even rival that of \u201cyou know who.\u201d<\/p>\n
