{"id":124449,"date":"2022-03-30T14:58:01","date_gmt":"2022-03-30T12:58:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=124449"},"modified":"2022-03-30T14:58:01","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T12:58:01","slug":"r100000-up-for-grabs-fortnite-all-stars-tournament-announced-for-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/entertainment\/124449-r100000-up-for-grabs-fortnite-all-stars-tournament-announced-for-south-africa","title":{"rendered":"R100,000 up for grabs &#8211; Fortnite All-Stars tournament announced for South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The gaming and esports content specialist Mettlestate has partnered with Incredible Connection and ASUS Republic of Gamers to bring local players the biggest Fortnite competition in the country, with a whopping R100,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>Mettlestate has announced the launch of a Fortnite All-Stars tournament in South Africa that will take place in April 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The prize money is structured as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First place \u2013 <strong>R40,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Second place \u2013 <strong>R30,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Third place \u2013 <strong>R20,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fourth place \u2013 <strong>R10,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cIncredible Connection\u2019s partnership with Mettlestate is solidifying their stance as a force to be reckoned with in the South African gaming space,\u201d said Mettlestate\u2019s project manager Carly Twaddle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Fortnite All-Stars tournament is proving to gamers that Incredible Connection is in it for the long run, and this is just the beginning,\u201d added Twaddle.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament will take place between duos and will run from 7 to 30 April. The qualifiers will be played on Thursdays and the top teams of each week will move on to the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t make it past your qualifier, you\u2019ll be allowed to register again for the following week\u2019s qualifier \u2013 giving teams the best chance of making it through to the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Tournament timeline:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registrations: <strong>29 March &#8211; 7 April<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Qualifiers: <strong>7 &#8211; 21 April<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Playoffs: <strong>25 &#8211; 26 April<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Finals: <strong>30 April<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The playoffs and finals will be streamed on the Incredible Connection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/ICAllStarGaming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitch channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you and your partner are ready to storm the Fortnite arena and fight to the death for the Victory Royale, then you can sign up for the tournament <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mettlestate.com\/all-stars-2022\/e5giux\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Visit Mettlestate\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mettlestate.com\/all-stars-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> for more information about the Fortnite All-Stars competition.
