Beamdog, the studio behind the Baldur’s Gate remasters, has revealed its next game.<\/p>\n

MythForce is a first-person fantasy roguelite that plunges you into a world with an 80s cartoon art style reminiscent of He-Man and Thundercats.<\/p>\n

The game was developed using Unreal Engine 4 and releases in Early Access on the Epic Games Store<\/a><\/strong> on 20 April.<\/p>\n

In MythForce, you can play as one of four heroes: Victoria the knight, Hawkins the hunter, Maggie the mage, and Rico the rogue.<\/p>\n

Victoria fully embodies Captain America with shield throws, while Hawkins can use temporary invisibility to sneak up on enemies.<\/p>\n

Maggie can deflect attacks with a magical shield or summon an owl familiar, and Rico can disable foes for a short time with a fistful of sand.<\/p>\n

You can team up with three friends to play through levels cooperatively and storm the Castle of Evil to face the vampire lord Daedalus in a final boss battle.<\/p>\n

Like most roguelites, each run that you initiate is procedurally generated \u2014 every gameplay session gives you access to different gear and abilities than the previous one.<\/p>\n

MythForce’s early access will kick off with the game’s first episode, Bastion of the Beastlord.<\/p>\n

Beamdog expects the game’s early access to last for approximately a year, during which new episodes and content updates will be released regularly.<\/p>\n
