{"id":124807,"date":"2022-04-26T10:33:39","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T08:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=124807"},"modified":"2022-04-26T10:33:39","modified_gmt":"2022-04-26T08:33:39","slug":"ps5-gets-variable-refresh-rate-support-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/124807-ps5-gets-variable-refresh-rate-support-this-week","title":{"rendered":"PS5 gets Variable Refresh Rate support this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony has <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2022\/04\/25\/variable-refresh-rate-support-for-ps5-is-rolling-out-this-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a><\/strong> that variable refresh rate (VRR) will start rolling out to PS5 systems globally from this week onwards.<\/p>\n<p>VRR dynamically syncs a display\u2019s refresh rate to the PS5\u2019s graphical output, resulting in a smoother visual experience while eliminating screen tearing and stuttering.<\/p>\n<p>However, players will need an HDMI 2.1 VRR-compatible TV or PC monitor to enable the feature.<\/p>\n<p>Once users have installed the necessary system update, VRR support will automatically be enabled in the following supported titles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/li>\n<li>Call of Duty: Vanguard<\/li>\n<li>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/li>\n<li>Deathloop<\/li>\n<li>Destiny 2<\/li>\n<li>Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition<\/li>\n<li>DIRT 5<\/li>\n<li>Godfall<\/li>\n<li>Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man Remastered<\/li>\n<li>Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/li>\n<li>Ratchet &amp;
