href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/entertainment\/124438-playstation-plus-and-playstation-now-merge-into-one-service\">merge into one service<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new tiered PS Plus service is set to launch on 22 June.<\/p>\n<p>The revamped subscription plan will include three membership tiers (of which the top-end tier differs depending on the region) for players to choose from:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">PlayStation Plus Essential<\/h3>\n<p>PlayStation Plus Essential will be the same plan as the current PlayStation Plus subscription:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two monthly downloadable games<\/li>\n<li>Exclusive discounts<\/li>\n<li>Cloud storage for saved games<\/li>\n<li>Online multiplayer access<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong> \u2014 R119 per month \/ R319 for 3 months \/ R749 for 12 months<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">PlayStation Plus Extra<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides all the benefits from the Essential tier<\/li>\n<li>Adds a library of up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games, including God of War, Death Stranding, Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal.<\/li>\n<li>Games in this tier will be available for download.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong> \u2014 R179 per month \/ R519 for 3 months \/ R1,239 for 12 months<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">PlayStation Plus Deluxe<\/h3>\n<p>PS Plus Deluxe will be the top-end membership plan for regions that do not currently have cloud streaming, like South Africa.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Benefits from the Essential and Extra Tiers are included in this plan.<\/li>\n<li>Includes access to the Classic Catalogue \u2014 original PlayStation, PS2, and PSP games that users can download.<\/li>\n<li>Lets subscribers access time-limited game trials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong> \u2014 R209 per month \/ R609 for 3 months \/ R1,429 for 12 months<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">PlayStation Plus Premium<\/h3>\n<p>This tier will only be available in markets where cloud streaming is already accessible to PlayStation Now subscribers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This plan comes at a higher cost than the Deluxe plan but adds 340 games, including original PlayStation, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PSP games available to stream via PS4, PS5, and PC.<\/li>\n<li>Lets subscribers access time-limited game trials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even though PS Now is unavailable in South Africa, this doesn\u2019t mean that we should give up hope of it ever launching locally.<\/p>\n<p>Sony has stated in a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2022\/03\/29\/all-new-playstation-plus-launches-in-june-with-700-games-and-more-value-than-ever\/#sf255029422\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog post<\/a><\/strong> that the company plans to expand its cloud streaming services to additional markets and that it will provide more details at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Sony has promised that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/124792-upgrading-to-new-ps-plus-service-will-be-seamless-sony\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upgrading to the new PS Plus service will be seamless<\/a><\/strong>, as confirmed in emails sent out to Asian subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the emails, subscribers who wish to upgrade to a better plan will need to pay the difference between their current subscription and the new one, which will be affected by the time left on the existing subscription.<\/p>\n<p>Important to note is that there will be no increase to subscription fees or payment dates once the refreshed PS Plus launches unless the subscriber alters these preferences themself.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Read: <a
