Babylon’s Fall’s concurrent PC player count dropped to only a single player on Wednesday, 4 May, and to zero this morning, according to SteamCharts<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two days after the game’s launch on 2 March 2022, the game’s all-time peak concurrent player count on Steam was only 1,166 players.<\/p>\n

Since then, player numbers have fallen steadily and had already dropped below ten in Mid-April. Throughout the whole of May, the peak player counts failed even to breach 100 per day.<\/p>\n

Babylon’s Fall is one of Square Enix’s newest titles, but due to a lacklustre story and grind-heavy gameplay, it launched to below-average reviews and minimal player interest.<\/p>\n

Square Enix hoped to keep players’ attention by releasing regular content updates in the form of Seasons.<\/p>\n

Despite Square Enix reassuring players that new game content was in the works only two weeks after Babylon’s Fall’s release, it wasn’t enough to retain or grow the player base.<\/p>\n

However, Babylon’s Fall’s development team announced<\/a><\/strong> that the game’s continuing service is not in danger and that there are no plans to reduce the title’s scale of development.<\/p>\n
