Yesterday Riot Games filed a lawsuit at the federal court in Los Angeles against ByteDance’s Shanghai Moonton Technology over its new mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.<\/p>\n

Riot Games alleges that the new mobile game blatantly copies its own title, Wild Rift, and used content and promotional materials from the League of Legends franchise.<\/p>\n

It added that it has filed this lawsuit because Moonton has continually plagiarised its content since 2015.<\/p>\n

In a previous lawsuit focused on the same issue, Moonton stated that Mobile Legends: Band Bang was a wholly independent and self-developed game in a previous lawsuit covering the same issues.<\/p>\n

This past case was dismissed as the Court concluded that the case would be better tried in China.<\/p>\n
