{"id":125117,"date":"2022-05-20T09:51:40","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T07:51:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=125117"},"modified":"2022-05-20T09:51:40","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T07:51:40","slug":"chainsaw-man-anime-coming-to-crunchyroll-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/entertainment\/125117-chainsaw-man-anime-coming-to-crunchyroll-this-year","title":{"rendered":"Chainsaw Man anime coming to Crunchyroll this year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Crunchyroll <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchyroll.com\/anime-news\/2022\/05\/16-1\/crunchyroll-to-stream-chainsaw-man-anime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a><\/strong> earlier this week that the upcoming <em>Chainsaw Man<\/em> anime, based on the Tatsuki Fujimoto manga of the same name, will be made available to stream on its platform when it airs later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The anime production is being done by Mappa, known for the production of <em>Attack on Titan: The Final Season<\/em> as well as<em> Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The series will follow a young boy named Denji, who resides in a supernatural world where demons roam.<\/p>\n<p>These demons are manifested from humanity\u2019s collective fears, and Denji shares his days with a pet devil named Pochita.<\/p>\n<p>Denji lives a resentful life, as he is tasked with harvesting devil corpses which he does with the help of Pochita to repay the huge debt left behind by his father.<\/p>\n<p>One day, Denji is betrayed and is fatally wounded.
