FatShark released a gameplay trailer about Warhammer 40,000: Darktide at the Summer Game Fest.<\/p>\n
Though only two minutes long, the trailer showed off just how far the developer has come with their latest project.<\/p>\n
Visually Darktide is a clear improvement over its predecessors and based on the gameplay we\u2019ve seen, its core controls will be very similar to Vermintide.<\/p>\n
In the trailer, we see brief snapshots of a team during a mission, including brutal ranged and melee combat from four different characters.<\/p>\n
Notably, it is also certain that ranged combat will be far more important than it was in Vermintide, and guns will be primary weapons, rather than secondary options.<\/p>\n
However, melee is still a central focus of the game, and characters are shown to hack through cultists with chainswords, service knives and hammers.<\/p>\n
Overall this reveal should only enhance the excitement for this title, and hopefully, we will get a full gameplay demo in the coming months with developer commentary.<\/p>\n
