Most gamers would agree that 2022 has been quite the roller-coaster ride. The year started strongly with the likes of Elden Ring<\/em> and Horizon Forbidden West<\/em>\u00a0but has since been disappointing due to an extensive number of anticipated games being pushed back from 2022 to 2023 and beyond.<\/p>\n

The most notable delays include Bethesda’s epic open-world sci-fi RPG Starfield <\/em>and Arkane\u2019s vampire co-op action game Redfall<\/em>.<\/p>\n

With such big AAA title delays, it\u2019s easy to feel like there’s nothing to look forward to in 2022 for gamers.<\/p>\n

However, the month of June came in hot with its not-E3 summer games showcasing events, which included the Warhammer Skulls live showcase, Geoff Keighley\u2019s Summer Game Fest, and the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.<\/p>\n

These events shared some exciting new game announcements, reveals, and trailers \u2014 providing gamers with some hope for 2022.<\/p>\n

New titles confirmed for 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are a lot of pretty exciting titles that have committed to 2022 release dates.<\/p>\n

June has seen the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge <\/em>which launched last week on 16 June. The game is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Plague Tale: Requiem <\/em>\u2013 a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence<\/em> \u2013 is set to be an exciting action-adventure title as there is a lot of fun to be had amongst all the blood, rats, and tears.<\/p>\n

If this game interests you, set a reminder for 23 June at 18:00 SAST, where the game’s YouTube channel<\/a><\/strong> will provide a release date and host an extended gameplay trailer.<\/p>\n

Playing the role of a ginger kitty doesn’t necessarily sound fun, but ever since its reveal, we’re all interested to play the cat exploration game Stray<\/em>, which is coming in July.<\/p>\n

August will see the Marvel\u2019s Spiderman Remastered<\/em> release on PC, while September will feature The Lord of the Rings: Gollum<\/em> and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For all the FPS fans, Blizzard is bringing both Overwatch 2<\/em> PVP early access and\u00a0Call<\/i>\u00a0of Duty: Modern Warfare 2<\/em> in October.<\/p>\n
