Ten years after Lollipop Chainsaw was released, it has surprisingly been revealed that a remake for the title is in the works.<\/p>\n

Yoshimi Yasuda, the director and producer of the original game, revealed that the remake is in development and is on track for a 2023 release.<\/p>\n

However, Yasuda stated that the remake will feature several changes to the original.<\/p>\n

The new game will feature new music as not all of the original game’s 16 licensed songs can be used this time.<\/p>\n

Along with that, the game will be available on a wider range of consoles, allowing the new Lollipop Chainsaw to have a “more realistic approach to graphics this time”.<\/p>\n

Notably, the staff that worked on the original game are also now working on the remake.<\/p>\n

Lollipop Chainsaw was first released in 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and sold over a million units worldwide.<\/p>\n

The game is an over-the-top hack n’ slash title starring cheerleader zombie hunter Juliet Starling fighting zombies in a school in California.<\/p>\n

The original game received middling reviews from critics but was well-liked by gamers who enjoyed its over-the-top flair.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see how the remake does in the current gaming market.<\/p>\n
